INFO:
This is the frustration, the overwhelm, and sometimes the tears that can come when the timer ends and the task isn’t finished. That moment can feel like failure for a child who’s trying their best. But here’s what’s actually happening: her brain is learning to regulate emotions, process endings, and recover from frustration. We don’t rush her through it. We validate her feelings “It’s okay to be upset. You tried really hard.” Then we give her more time. Mikko is home homeschooled, which means we have to create an effective routine and this is the foundation of building one. This helps me understand her thought process and how we can make better time of our day. This is where real growth happens. Not in perfection, but in recovery. Every meltdown navigated with safety and compassion teaches her that she’s capable of trying again. Time production isn’t just about understanding minutes it’s about building resilience, emotional awareness, and trust in herself.
